King Felipe in tails, that's the post

He knew, didn't he? King Felipe knew just how good he looked as he turned up for the opening of the new judicial year. We all knew. Let's just enjoy.

This is Euro royalty at the top of its game. Yes, he's the Head of State so technically the important bit was swearing in the new President of the General Council of the Judiciary and Supreme Court earlier at the Zarzuela Palace and then officiating at a solemn ceremony at the Palace of Justice in Madrid. However, he wore tails and he looked fabulous and really, that's what it is all about.

The King of Spain wears this combo every year for this exact same ceremony. But, if we're honest, Felipe has hit a peak of handsomeness in the past couple of years, matching his youthful self for suaveness. Maybe it's the fact that he somehow made it to a whole decade of reign that's done it. He can relax a bit though not much cos he's not made it through an autumn yet without setting fire to something. However, he has ten years under his belt now, against the odds at time, so that puts a much better look on things. As do the tails.

Euro royalty needs glamour. It needs expensive clothes that scream money and even, sometimes, taste. It needs glitz. Ultimately, new judicial years are very dull, however important they are. But when it appears your new
President of the General Council of the Judiciary and Supreme Court is swooning slightly (we see you and respect you for it, Isabel Perelló), you know you've got it right. Monarchy is image, royalty is being seen to be believed. Tails are absolutely the best idea.
